...this is an information hub for my dancing, choreographing, & teaching pursuits...

While I have your attention, I can either put you in a daze or a meditation, confuse, anger, or excite you. This moment in time we share is an offering. I would like to offer you both how I see the world and what I wish to add, one step at a time. Dance is my medium but is never the destination. The goal is to help you leave thinking elsewhere. So wherever you encounter my work, should you decide to go, enjoy the show. Should you take this offering with you, keep it safe.

Bio

I was introduced to dance through sticker-incentivized baby ballet classes. Since then, I have occupied studios, or living canvases, all of my life. I trained solely in ballet in my childhood in Baltimore, Maryland, until I transferred to The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. I learned Horton and Graham technique from Tracy Vogt, who also mentored me in one of my first dance creations. I presented my choreography for the first time in 2020, and was determined to continue to hone my craft and passion for choreography. I am currently doing so at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and expect to graduate in May 2024. One of the highlights of being in the program has been learning about creative process methods. Through the art of dance, I am drawn to time travel and the audience's ability to recognize honest connections. The endless, intricate embodiments of music inspire me. I choose to dance in this life as life dances around me. I am interested in harnessing all of its ridiculousness, good or bad, for groups of people in time and space.

Work

The Lonely (2023)

I wear my heart on my sleeve. Rhythm and soft stillness are essential. Dazzle is temporary.

My inspirations flutter. I am thankful for the freedom and gift of creating.
